Although the SAT is primarily used for college admissions purposes, UT Austin also uses an eligible score on the Reading and Writing section of the new digital SAT test to award course credit for RHE 306. This test replaced the paper-based SAT in 2024. Students who completed the paper-based SAT may earn credit by exam for RHE 306 with a Writing and Language subscore of 33 or higher.
