College Credit and Placement for UT Austin Undergraduates

We provide students with opportunities to take tests for credit and placement, and assist with all the details associated with credit by exam for UT Austin undergraduate students.

If you are a current or prospective UT Austin student, Student Testing Services can help you claim UT college credit for AP, IB (Diploma and Course Awarded) and SAT/ACT Writing scores. We also offer and award credit for certain CLEP exams, and UT Austin exams for credit and course placement.

Student Testing Services offers advising by appointment via Zoom, phone, or in person, as well as in-person walk-in advising. To schedule an appointment, please click here. Our office will be closed beginning Friday, December 20, 2024 at 5:00PM and will reopen Thursday, January 2nd, 2025 at 8:00AM. All January exam dates have been posted and opened for registration on the Test Schedules and Registration page.
