Where to go to take your test
Consult your registration materials to determine the location of your test. Many tests are given in the George I. Sánchez Building (SZB), Room 5.102.
In SZB there are multiple testing labs for different exams.
- Room 5.102D is a computer-based testing ETS lab, where national tests such as the GRE, TOEFL, and Praxis are given.
- Room 5.102E is also a computer-based testing lab, where CLEP tests and certain UT Austin tests are given.
During testing periods throughout the year, many tests are given in other buildings on campus. Consult your testing materials to confirm your testing location, or call 512-232-2662 for more information.
Information on visitor parking options can be found on the Parking & Transportation Services website. Please read parking signs on campus carefully to avoid receiving a citation. Our office does not validate parking.
What to bring when you take a test
With the exception of calculators, we provide testing materials for paper and pencil tests. To determine if you may use a calculator on a test, please see the test description for that test.
You must also bring an acceptable form of identification. It is extremely important that you bring the appropriate identification for your particular test, as we cannot test you without proper identification.
