Testing & Evaluation Services (TES) provides a broad range of professional and academic testing and evaluation services to members of the university community, residents of the state of Texas and beyond. TES has four offices on the main campus of The University of Texas at Austin. Each offers a distinct portfolio of services.
Our Exams and Services
Campus Testing Center
New! Starting fall 2021 students registered with Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) will be able to take in-person accommodated tests at the new Campus Testing Center.
Course Instructor Surveys (CIS)
The Course Instructor Survey (CIS) office supports end-of-semester evaluations of teaching performance.
College Credit and Placement Exams
Current and prospective UT Austin students can earn credit or placement through ACT, AP, CLEP, IB, SAT or UT Austin exams.
Graduate Admissions Exams
GRE General Test, as well as the Praxis I and TOEFL iBT are offered regularly on the UT Austin campus.
Exams from Other Universities
Students may visit our testing center to take proctored exams from outside universities, including international universities.
Scanning Services
Basic scanning services are provided to any UT Austin instructor who administers coursework for an official class using the standard answer sheets.
State Exams
The UT Public Testing Center partners with various state of Texas organizations to provide specified licensing and credentialing exams.
Kryterion Exams
Kryterion is a secured exam delivery company that offers high-stakes test delivery. The UT Public Testing Center serves a HOST Location (High-stakes Online Secured Testing) for Kryterion.
UTHS Exams and High School Credit by Exam (CBE)
Take exams for UT High School or earn high school credit by exam.
University Extension Exams
University Extension students may take their midterm and final exams at the UT Public Testing Center.
